Every Surprise Pour uses the same 100% platinum-cured silicone formulation used for our other made-to-order pieces. The cured material is non-porous and contains no phthalates, TPR, plasticizers, or fillers. We do not use "medical-grade" as a blanket description for a finished toy; platinum-cured describes the cure system, while medical-grade is a separate classification.

The color work happens before the silicone cures. Pigments are mixed into liquid silicone in separate batches, and freshly mixed silicone naturally carries entrained air.

A multi-color pour also requires attention to timing and consistency. The pourer has to prepare the batches, remove entrained air, and combine the colors while the material is still within its working window. The finished colorway may look chaotic, but the process behind it is controlled.
