This is my second Goliath, so obviously I love the thing. It's not only beautiful to look at, the smoothness works well for me, and the pronounced curve means that you get a much different experience depending on how you orient it (my favorite is "sideways" --with the balls at either 3 or 9 o'clock-- though reverse cowgirl --balls at noon-- is also exquisite).
The first Goliath I got was in 40% soft firmness, because I saw everyone online talking about how that was the only way to be able to handle such a big thing. I do love that original one, but I feel like the softness can actually make it more difficult to insert sometimes, because if I don't have quite enough lube or get the angle wrong and it can't just immediately slide in easily, it's too squishy to stand up to the pressure and will distort in such a way that it bulges out and gets wider at the curved part where it's already quite wide, and if that sudden expansion of girth hits me right at the entrance of my cunt, if can be startlingly unpleasant. I like that the medium firm holds its shape better, no distortion. That said, the medium firm texture is brutal on the cervix compared to the 40% soft. So it's a trade-off, and generally I will alternate between the two on different days, because they leave different parts of me feeling pleasantly beat to hell.
I'm writing this review in part because I'm currently on vacation and had to leave my Goliaths at home, and miss them terribly. Should I be embarrassed to admit that? Maybe! But they're really fucking great.
